Subject: [PATCH v3 02/30] add_packed_ref(): teach function to overwrite existing refs
Date: Sat, 1 Jul 2017 20:30:40 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <7f88f3ecbbaccc6d5f517494a1c33c063967b8ba.1498933362.git.mhagger@alum.mit.edu> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <cover.1498933362.git.mhagger@alum.mit.edu>

Teach `add_packed_ref()` to overwrite an existing entry if one already
exists for the specified `refname`. This means that we can call it
from `files_pack_refs()`, thereby reducing the amount that the latter
function needs to know about the internals of packed-reference
handling.
