Counting the number of interrupt descriptors in the whole system? What does this even mean? What I suggested was to allocate the required number of interrupts for a given device, based on the requirements of that device. I also suggested to investigate the x86 two phase allocation mechanism for the INTA driver. I never suggested that you'd parse the DT to guess how many interrupts you'd need to allocate...
