The intent with the series is that this should be supported, no matter of the number of states or the level of hierarchy. Well, there are some limitations/bugs in genpd (and the genpd governor) to support a greater level than 2, but that is on my TODO list to fix. Again, some of my slides from OSPM Pisa explains this.
