Hi Bryan,

The changeset looks like it includes an autogenerated and otherwise
unmodified pylint 2.17.0 configuration file.  Is that intentional?

(in most of my experience so far, small Python projects tend to begin
without linter configuration files, and add them as-needed with
specific configuration overrides when required.  that beneficially
decouples the evolution of the linter(s) somewhat from the project
codebase -- in rare cases it could make sense to use a static linting
baseline, but I think that'd be worth justifying if that's the plan)
