This is a pessimation on GNU/Linux if the program uses memcmp as well
because it introduces another relocation.

I'm not convinced that anything at all needs to be added to the
manual page. This is an implement-specific detail about a certain
compiler. Its behavior might change in the future. You do not
say anything about why t is relevant to document this detail.
