Fascinating CPU design. More like a multi-chip set rather than just a single CPU die. That said, no tears are shed over this code getting excised, as it's half-complete, because only the R8K TLB code was written. The cache code (c-r8k.c?) was never completed. I don't even know if the R8K TLB code was ever tested on real hardware. A scanned copy of the CPU manual is on the linux-mips FTP server somewhere, and I think I have a copy somewhere as well, if anyone ever gets interested again. -- Joshua Kinard Gentoo/MIPS kumba@gentoo.org rsa6144/5C63F4E3F5C6C943 2015-04-27 177C 1972 1FB8 F254 BAD0 3E72 5C63 F4E3 F5C6 C943 "The past tempts us, the present confuses us, the future frightens us.
