Patch 1~4 are small cleanup.
Patch 5 is to add warning message when failed to increase or decrease
the expected number of persistent huge pages by writing into
/proc/sys/vm/nr_hugepages
/sys/kernel/mm/hugepages/hugepages-xxx/nr_hugepages.
