Here is the boot log with following options. Symptom remains the same.

CONFIG_PPC_4K_PAGES=y
CONFIG_DEBUG_VM=y
CONFIG_DEBUG_MEMORY_INIT=y
CONFIG_DEBUG_LIST=y
CONFIG_NR_CPUS=32
