From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Pratyush Yadav Subject: [PATCH v3 04/12] mtd: spi-nor: add support for DTR protocol Date: Fri, 13 Mar 2020 21:16:37 +0530 Message-ID: <20200313154645.29293-5-p.yadav@ti.com> References: <20200313154645.29293-1-p.yadav@ti.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Cc: Pratyush Yadav , , , , , Sekhar Nori To: Tudor Ambarus , Miquel Raynal , Richard Weinberger , Vignesh Raghavendra , Mark Brown , Nicolas Ferre , Alexandre Belloni , Ludovic Desroches Return-path: In-Reply-To: <20200313154645.29293-1-p.yadav@ti.com> Sender: linux-kernel-owner@vger.kernel.org List-Id: linux-spi.vger.kernel.org Double Transfer Rate (DTR) is SPI protocol in which data is transferred on each clock edge as opposed to on each clock cycle. Make framework-level changes to allow supporting flashes in DTR mode. Right now, mixed DTR modes are not supported. So, for example a mode like 4S-4D-4D will not work. All phases need to be either DTR or STR.
