Dear All,

I have encountered a problem in xhci which leads to general protection fault.

The problem is triggered by running this program:

https://gitlab.collabora.com/andrzej.p/bulk-cancel.git

$ sudo ./bulk-cancel -D /dev/bus/usb/002/006 -i 1 -b 1

where /dev/bus/usb/002/006 is a Gadget Zero:

$ lsusb -t
/:  Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/4p, 5000M
/:  Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/9p, 480M
     |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
         |__ Port 1: Dev 4, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=cp210x, 12M
         |__ Port 2: Dev 6, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=usbtest, 480M
         |__ Port 4: Dev 7, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 480M
     |__ Port 7: Dev 3, If 1, Class=Wireless, Driver=btusb, 12M
     |__ Port 7: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Wireless, Driver=btusb, 12M
     |__ Port 8: Dev 5, If 0, Class=Video, Driver=uvcvideo, 480M
     |__ Port 8: Dev 5, If 1, Class=Video, Driver=uvcvideo, 480M
/:  Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci-pci/3p, 480M
     |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/8p, 480M

[ --- gadget info
the gadget runs on an Odroid U3, with legacy g_zero compiled-in

# ls -l /sys/module/g_zero/
total 0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root    0 Mar 15 12:23 parameters
--w------- 1 root root 4096 Nov  3  2016 uevent

and running

# uname -r
5.7.0

end of gadget info, back to the USB host --- ]

and iommu is turned on:

$ cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-5.8.0 root=UUID=<UUID> ro intel_iommu=on quiet splash
vt.handoff=1

$ uname -r
5.8.0

It takes less than a minute until the crash happens.
The DMAR (iommu) errors don't happen always, i.e. there are crashes
when they are not reported in the system log. In either case the

"WARN Cannot submit Set TR Deq Ptr"
"A Set TR Deq Ptr command is pending."
"WARN Set TR Deq Ptr cmd failed due to incorrect slot or ep state."

messages do appear.

This is what is in the system log:
