I see what to me seem similar events on my desktop machine, occasionally, but a second attempt succeeds; it is a different function, but xfs is involved:

Distribution is openSUSE Leap 42.2
I have not reported this yet in Bugzilla, but seeing this post I thought I might as well tell.
