Under kernel 2.6.0-testx, the compiling process always uses huge disk space. 2. Unlike under 2.4.x kernel, the compiling process of 2.6.0-testx used and exhausted about 500MB hard disk space. The /lib/modules/2.6.0-test10 directory occupied 114920 kb. I don't know why the modules use so huge space. But in 2.4.x, /lib/modules/2.4.23 directory is 15232 kb. The .config file I used to compile the kernel are the same. 3. Keyword: compiling process, hard disk space. 4.Kernel Version:Linux version 2.6.0-test10 (root@king) (gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)) #1 Wed Nov 26 21:40:32 PST 2003 5. 6.
