I have the same problem, not even wint mm8 my 2.5 kernel works. And it doesnt crash even. I have the very first message, and hangs: Loading 2569-mm8 BIOS data check successful Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel And thats it, no more output, hard reboot needed. I sent a message with the warnings on make modules, maybe there lies the problem, but i dont know any kernel hacking or even good C programming.
