Actually, mine now has a different error. I tracked down my original
problem to the fact that I had disabled ISA (laptop, didnt know i had
it), which in turn disabled the drivers for my specific PCMCIA
controller. Now I just get the following on inserting the card.

Could you try with this patch, it should fix the "scheduling while
atomic" error in airo.c.

It actually also includes a few other things, mostly cleanups and fixes
pulled from the CVS version of the airo.c driver for 2.4 so I don't
think it will cause you any harm. It has worked well for me on three
fairly different cards, (a PCMCIA, a PCI card, and a Mini-PCI).

Later,
Tom

hey there Tom,

sorry for the delay.
i just patched the 2.6-test1 with this patch, and it sure does remove
the "scheduling when atomic" errors

I still have the problem that i mentioned in "mis-identified cisco
aironet pccard" where the cisco card is recognised as a memory card at
bootup. I don't know where to start with tracking this problem down - if
you have suggestions for me to look at, i'll have a go :)

cheers
sven

Yep, I somehow sent out an incorrect diff that had some things reversed
that shouldn't have been. I've been working on cleaner version that has
a few more fixes but have just been too swamped with other things to get
it done. Sounds like you're working on the same thing so I'll put mine
on hold for a while.

Later,
Tom

this is wrong, sizeof(*range) is correct.

btw. the driver is broken anyway, transmit can kill keventd.
(see reports on sf.net, redhat-bugzilla, list-archive)
i'm fixing it, currently testing a 2.4 patch, 2.6-test
patch follows as soon as 2.4 is ok again.

I'm running a cisco aironet 350 series on 2.5.72. When attempting to
load the module, I get the following messages:

airo: Probing for PCI adapters
airo: Finished probing for PCI adapters
airo: register interrupt 0 failed, rc -16
airo_cs: RequestConfiguration: Operation succeeded

All pcmcia drivers are loaded, I've tried both compiled in and as
modules. The same card works with no problems on 2.4.[18-21]. Google
only shows one match with no resolution to the problem. Any ideas?
