  To: linux-kernel

This happens when my TRAXDATA cd writer cannot read a disc which I
either want to mount or play audio from. I do not know whether the
hardware is flawed or there is really a bug in the kernel. My other
drives do not produce this error.

The writer is with used with the ide-scsi module. When I traced this
oops with another computer via serial console the kernel was not tainted
(it is now due to the softmodem driver). The ruby-patch cannot be cause
of the problem, the crashes happened before, too.

Please cc me on any discussion because I'm not subscribed to the list.
Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Daniel
