In 2.6.0-test11 the acpi/performance interface is missing on centrino.

On a centrino/pentium m machine (cpu family 6, model 9, stepping 5) running
2.6.0-test11 I have the problem that in spite of
CONFIG_X86_ACPI_CPUFREQ_PROC_INTF=y
with activated cpu frequency scaling the acpi/performance interface
(/proc/acpi/.../performance) is missing.

/proc/acpi/.../performance works under 2.4.22 (without cpu-freq-scaling).
In 2.6.0-test11 cpu frequency scaling works as far as I can judge, I can
make all settings through /sys/.../cpufreq and these seem to actually work,
too.

I would say this is simply because ACPI is not used within the centrino
cpufreq interface driver. You should use the sysfs interface anyway.

The latter is certainly right... but since there is a kernel config option
that lets you add the /proc/acpi/.../performance interface explicitly and it
doesn't work, I consider it a bug.

This is only a suboption to the acpi cpufreq driver.
