Subject: [PATCH tip/core/rcu 03/23] rcu: Move RCU grace-period cleanup into kthread
Date: Thu, 30 Aug 2012 11:18:18 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1346350718-30937-3-git-send-email-paulmck@linux.vnet.ibm.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <1346350718-30937-1-git-send-email-paulmck@linux.vnet.ibm.com>

From: "Paul E. McKenney" <paulmck@linux.vnet.ibm.com>

As a first step towards allowing grace-period cleanup to be preemptible,
this commit moves the RCU grace-period cleanup into the same kthread
that is now used to initialize grace periods. This is needed to keep
scheduling latency down to a dull roar.
