Are you able to narrow down the difference between working and not-working. Possibly use 'git bisect' (This is the best option, but not having used it myself yet, I don't feel comfortable recommending it). Possibly just try the various 2.6.15-rcX kernels and find the first one that breaks. That would be a great help.
