Hello everyone,

On my Mitac 8375 notebook 2.5.70-bk10 refuses to
accept any input from the keyboard although it seems
to recognize the keyboard controller:

i8042.c: Detected active multiplexing controller, rev
1.1
serio: i8042 AUX0 port at 0x60,0x64 irq 12
serio: i8042 AUX1 port at 0x60,0x64 irq 12
serio: i8042 AUX2 port at 0x60,0x64 irq 12
serio: i8042 AUX3 port at 0x60,0x64 irq 12
input: AT Set 2 keyboard on isa0060/serio0
serio: i8042 KBD port at 0x60,0x64 irq 1

But neither do any console scrolling keys, magic-sysrq
(when compiled in), ctrl-alt-del, nor other keys show
any effect. I compiled the kernel with gcc-3.2 from
SuSE 8.1 with this config:

As I just found out, this might be another appearance
of bugzilla bug 717. My laptop has a VIA P/KN266 Host
Bridge, too.

Please let me know, if I can somehow help solving
this.

Regards,
Terje
