Recent 2.4 (>= 2.4.18) Kernels seem to be a nightmare with IDE drivers. Maybe one of the kernel hackers has an idea. As I am just trying to fix a IDE driver too, I know that the change in the IDE subsystem caused some functions to be called with a wrong number of args. This is most likely the reason for your kernel because the missing ars is a pointer ;-) Jörg -- EMail:joerg@schily.isdn.cs.tu-berlin.de (home) Jörg Schilling D-13353 Berlin js@cs.tu-berlin.de (uni) If you don't have iso-8859-1 schilling@fokus.fraunhofer.de (work) chars I am J"org Schilling URL: http://www.fokus.fraunhofer.de/usr/schilling ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/schily
