But some tasks seem not to be working in the current test version of the 2.6 kernel. Please extract the details from the "bug report form"-like part below. 8thx Andreas Schmieja ----------------------->8 snip 8<------------------------------------ [1.] One line summary of the problem: Things that worked with 2.4.22 but do not work in 2.6.0-test9 [2.] Full description of the problem/report: Two things do not work in Kernel 2.6.0-test9 that I am used to use with 2.4.x: - HiSax ISDN Support - seems to be dropped by the config routines - bttv: sound, videotext etc. seems to be ok, but the local window remains black. But works on a remote X11 Display. My Installing Procedure of the new kernel: - expanding the tar.bzip2 archive - drop a copy of the 2.4.22 .config file in the new source directory - "make oldconfig" answering lots of questions - "make xconfig" to switch on some things not supported with 2.4.22 - building with "make bzlilo","make modules" and "make modules_install" - booting with the new kernel [3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel): hisax microlink isdn bttv [4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version): Linux version 2.6.0-test9 (root@kistchen) (gcc version 3.2) #1 SMP Wed Oct 29 19:51:46 MET 2003 [5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic information resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt) n.a.
