Subject: [PATCH v4 2/5] drm: convert drm_device.master_mutex into a rwsem
Date: Fri, 20 Aug 2021 18:02:48 +0800	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20210820100251.448346-3-desmondcheongzx@gmail.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20210820100251.448346-1-desmondcheongzx@gmail.com>

drm_device.master_mutex currently protects the following:
- drm_device.master
- drm_file.master
- drm_file.was_master
- drm_file.is_master
- drm_master.unique
- drm_master.unique_len
- drm_master.magic_map

There is a clear separation between functions that read or change
these attributes. Hence, convert master_mutex into a rwsem to enable
concurrent readers.
