2.5.72 module issue

2.5.72 module issue

I am thinking the problem could be caused by environmental change from 2.4.x to 2.5.72.  

What module make rules need to be included from scripts directory in order to make module has needed kernel environmental variables?  I used to use Rules.make on 2.4.x systems to get all kernel related cariable to be set.
