Here's a first report:

*) (small) problems with "make xconfig"
   - "Dallas DS1742 RTC support" can be selected on x86 platform,
     though it can't be compiled

   - Double (but deactivated) entry in config dialog for
     + "Parallel port support" / "Support for PCMCIA management for PC-stype ports"
     + "Wan Interfaces" / "Support for LAPB protocol on MultiGate boards"

*) Compile errors
   PCMCIA SCSI drivers "qlogic", "fdomain" and "aha152x" do not compile
   (see my report for 2.4.24-pre2)

*) Unresolved symbol in kernel/drivers/net/wan/comx.o: proc_get_inode


Otherwise, the new kernel compiles and boots fine on my test machine.
