Both raw_pci_read/write and a host controller with pci_generic_read/write can be done without much trouble, please see the patch I had at: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/575526/ I have been looking at Bjorn's suggestions and trying to see if I can update my MCFG patch taking care of them. I will post an updated patchset soon, unless you want to take this up. JC.
