And it doenst apply:

marcelo@freak linux-2.4.22-pre5]$ patch -p1 < /tmp/sim
patching file drivers/scsi/sim710_d.h
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]
Apply anyway? [n]
Skipping patch.
9 out of 9 hunks ignored -- saving rejects to file

that linux-2.4.22-pre5 tree has been generated out of local BK tree.

Now if I apply your patch against a 2.4.22-pre5 from tarballs and patches
it works fine. Weird.

I'll investigate it later.
