We have 'gettid()' in tools/perf, its not in a nice place but we have
tools/build/feature/test-gettid.c to test if gettid() is available in
system headers and if not, then:

tools/perf/jvmti/jvmti_agent.c

#ifndef HAVE_GETTID
static inline pid_t gettid(void)
{
        return (pid_t)syscall(__NR_gettid);
}
#endif

I'll move it to a more suitable place so that you can use it here.
