Subject: [merged] ib-umem-use-get_user_pages_fast-to-pin-dma-pages.patch removed from -mm tree
Date: Fri, 31 Jan 2020 15:17:45 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20200131231745._8Y4PRMDM%akpm@linux-foundation.org> (raw)
The patch titled
Subject: IB/umem: use get_user_pages_fast() to pin DMA pages
has been removed from the -mm tree. Its filename was
ib-umem-use-get_user_pages_fast-to-pin-dma-pages.patch
This patch was dropped because it was merged into mainline or a subsystem tree

From: John Hubbard <jhubbard@nvidia.com>
Subject: IB/umem: use get_user_pages_fast() to pin DMA pages
And get rid of the mmap_sem calls, as part of that. Note that
get_user_pages_fast() will, if necessary, fall back to
__gup_longterm_unlocked(), which takes the mmap_sem as needed.
