Subject: [PATCH 4.12 24/31] drm/vmwgfx: Limit max desktop dimensions to 8Kx8K
Date: Thu, 3 Aug 2017 16:17:54 -0700	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20170803231738.402025226@linuxfoundation.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20170803231737.202188456@linuxfoundation.org>

4.12-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

------------------

From: Sinclair Yeh <syeh@vmware.com>

commit 7b009e76797c82178d7a03ae0eaad5951d975277 upstream.

This was originally chosen to be an arbitrarily large number. However,
some user mode may actually try to set a 16Kx16K mode and run into other
issues.

Since 8Kx8K is the current texture limit for Mesa LLVM driver, we will
just use this limit for now.
