The motivation and the expected benefits are far from clear to me, because all I have so far is a meandering e-mail thread. For a change proposal as massive as "throw out working code and touch basically every line in the QAPI schema", I'd like to see a concise memo stating the goals, their benefits, the possible ways to get there, and their cost. I don't think that's too much to ask.
