Yes, I figured that out, but I think= you provide support for ovrerall AVR target, not only for RTOS demo, right= ? That's why I think the choice of default core should that into consid= eration what core is the most frequent... and RTOS demo can always use -cpu= avr6.

Later on in the series you declare that default AVR core is avr= 6. This seems to me an unreasonable choice. "avr6" covers only a = handful of AVR MCUs. AVR core that is present in by far the largest number = of MCUs is "avr5", and "avr5" should be the default AVR= core. Unless you have some strong counterargument, please change the defau= lt AVR core to "avr5".

Aleksandar

changes since v17 (by Richard Henderson)
This is Michael's v17, with some adjustments of my own:

1. Fix the whitespace errors reported by "git am",
2. Replace the utf-8 characters with normal ascii,
3. Ditch the separate compilation of translate.c.

I retained the two separate files that could be regenerated
from the included cpugen program, but merged in translate-insn.c.
Not that it matters, but the code generated is about 3k smaller.
