Subject: patch "staging: rtl8192e: Fix use after free in _rtl92e_pci_disconnect()" added to staging-linus
Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2021 14:09:05 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1637154545174104@kroah.com> (raw)
This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled
staging: rtl8192e: Fix use after free in _rtl92e_pci_disconnect()
to my staging git tree which can be found at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git
in the staging-linus branch.
The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree
(usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.)
The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the
next -rc kernel release.
If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.

Subject: staging: rtl8192e: Fix use after free in _rtl92e_pci_disconnect()
The free_rtllib() function frees the "dev" pointer so there is use
after free on the next line. Re-arrange things to avoid that.
