However, since you said you've installed Xen from sources, you probably need to build and install libvirt from sources too. In fact, I don't know how exactly it is in Ubuntu, but in all the distro I've tried, trying to install libvirt-daemon-driver-libxl (or whatever the package is called), would fail, unless Xen hypervisor, toolstack and libraries are also installed with the distro package mamanger.
