Subject: [RFC][PATCH 08/19] tracing: Rename ftrace_event_buffer to trace_event_buffer.
Date: Thu, 14 May 2015 11:13:23 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20150514151919.117896002@goodmis.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20150514151315.746637810@goodmis.org

[-- Attachment #1: 0008-tracing-Rename-ftrace_event_buffer-to-trace_event_bu.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 4563 bytes --]

From: "Steven Rostedt (Red Hat)" <rostedt@goodmis.org>

The name "ftrace" really refers to the function hook infrastructure. It
is not about the trace_events. The ftrace_event_buffer functions and data
structures are for trace_events and not for function hooks. Rename them
to trace_event_buffer*.
