Hi,

I'm having a similar problem with "Intel DQ45CB motherboard and weird
sensors output", but with a different Super I/O.

Here are some details of my setup:

# uname -rv

Are there any updates on this issue?
Is there a way to get stats stats from the motherboard?

Cheers

Odds are that superiotool is wrong and your chip is actually a
WPCD377I. Please try the latest version of sensors-detect:
http://dl.lm-sensors.org/lm-sensors/files/sensors-detect

You can remove "lm85" and "i2c-i801" from this list.

This is the WPCD377I, which doesn't include sensors, thus all zeroes.

The alarms look wrong, unless the temperature were much higher at some
point before, and you did not run "sensors" since then. Do the alarm
flags wear off if you run sensors again after a few seconds?

> Are there any updates on this issue?

The "WPCD377I detected as LM96000" issue is tracked in:
http://www.lm-sensors.org/ticket/2182
and solved in sensors-detect since lm-sensors 3.1.1. The lm85 driver
still needs to be taught to ignore the WPCD377I.

Using latest version from link above I've got:
Found `Nuvoton WPCD377I Super IO'
    (no hardware monitoring capabilities)

coretemp-isa-0003
Adapter: ISA adapter
Core 3: +70.0°C (high = +74.0°C, crit = +100.0°C) ALARM

PS: lm-sensors was installed from repository
# sensors -v
sensors version 3.0.2 with libsensors version 3.0.2

PPS: I'm having some problems with the temperature, it reached even 100

This is odd. Rudolf, do you know why alarm flags are set while
temperatures are below the high limits?

Kernel version is useful as well.

> PPS: I'm having some problems with the temperature, it reached even 100

Not good. Maybe your fans aren't spinning fast enough? If you are doing
fan speed control, try without it for a moment.

I'm not using fan speed control, set them to Aggressive in BIOS and
the temp is still high ...

Maybe the heatsink isn't properly installed, or you need to use thermal
paste?
