I was doubting as well when I wrote this... but what convinced me was 
the much cleaner calls to the reg read and writes.
Has some drawbacks sometimes (like the XPOSR and YPOSR writes), but they 
are not all over the code, so I guess it's fine.

I was doubting as well when I wrote this... but what convinced me was 
the much cleaner calls to the reg read and writes.
Has some drawbacks sometimes (like the XPOSR and YPOSR writes), but they 
are not all over the code, so I guess it's fine.
