Yes - a minimum of politeness from your side I guess. Sorry - but if I where one of them I'd feel attacked and this never is a motivation to do good things.

E-MU 0404 soundcard, part of the Creative professional products group.

"I need 4 things from you folks so that  a driver can be written for my 
E-MU 0404 to work with my  Linux harddrive;
    * good documentation
    * necessary firmware
    * a way to get additional information if needed
    * example source code is helpful
If your company would like to expand your sales into the growing Linux 
recording market, a good non-Binary only driver needs to be written. If
