There's no shortage of documentation yet Intel devs have explicitly said
that fixing this is a very low priority.
Any insight would be welcome.

Any word on this from the Intel folks? I realize the iwl3945 isn't
a big money-make for you. But not fixing bugs is bad community
relations...

Fully agree, sure sure we want to make sure we can do the best for the
community. I am working on try to get people focus on legacy bugs fix,
but as you can tell, I am not getting much progress there. I will keep
push and get back to you on the status.
