[linux-dvb] Elgato eyetv hybrid (0df9:0018)

Hello,

Since a while i am the proud owner of an Elgato Eyetb Hybrid usb tv
tuner stick.

I tried to get my device, an Elgato eyetev hybrid, to work using the
latest drivers from git but it doesn't work (yet).

Can somebody tell if this device (usb device 0df9:0018) is/will be
supported?

>From what i found on the internet, the device's specs are:

Model: EU 2008
USB Contoller: Empia EM2884
Stereo A/V Decoder: Micronas AVF 49x08
Hybrid Channel Decoder: Micronas DRX-K DRX3926K:A1 0.9.0

I can't find the USB id on the linuxtv list, so I guess your device is not
supported yet:

About the missing support for the Elgato Eyetv Hybrid.

A while ago i found on the internet info that Micronas has released a
gpl'ed driver for the device.

But it appears that nobody has been
willing to do the work to get it upstream.

However, I found a message at:

Perhaps the person in that message can be contacted about the missing
driver and details ?
So it wouldn't be necessary to reinvent the wheel? And support for the
device can be added easily?

To bad I can't program myself.
