I'm announcing the release of the 3.18.56 kernel.

All users of the 3.18 kernel series must upgrade.

The updated 3.18.y git tree can be found at:
	git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.18.y
and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser:
	http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary

thanks,

greg k-h

Just a small observation, 3.18 is listed as "EOL" on
https://www.kernel.org/, and in that RSS feed as well. Perhaps untag
that one as long as you actually provide updates?

Cheers,

Better keep it marked EOL so that it remains dissuasive enough. Greg
inherited from that kernel which he didn't choose to tag LTS and it
got used and deployed to a point where not fixing it leaves many
users at risk. Hopefully he'll be able to kill it without prior
public warning, so EOL seems to make sense here.

Willy

Yes, it will stay marked EOL as I could drop it at any moment!

Hopefully at least :)

thanks,

Fair enough. Perhaps introduce a "Zombie" label for that?
