Could you explain in few words 
possibilities Cobalt and Mercury kernel from user side 
does Mercury support such realtime as Cobalt ? 
easy to use\write\support own code ? 
rtnet features ?

Best thing to do is to google on both topics (Cobalt and Mercury),
look at past discussions on the mailing list.  Then if you have
specific question about each core and how they impact what you are
trying to achieve then ask them here.
