Has anybody else noticed this? Building current svn on an ubuntu 8.10 host,
the cursor keys don't work. (Fire up a bootable cdrom image and try to cursor
up and down at the grub menu: nothing.) The normal letter keys work, but not
the cursor keys.

0.9.1 works fine, svn does not.

Yes, someone already submitted this patch. They have been some comments,
but no one has addressed them so far.

If someone can point me to the issues raised, I can see if I can address
them.

Cheers,

The above patch does indeed fix the issue for me.

Here:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2008-12/msg00469.html

The main issue is the lack of portability of the patch, the secondary issue
is inefficiency. Neither should be hard to fix, the main work goes
into just testing.

Ok, two issues portability and efficiency.

However, the efficiency problem is already fixed in the second version of
the patch in the Redhat bugtracker:

    https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=328839

Obviously the portability problem shouldn't be too hard to fix either. I'll
have a look at it.

Of course not fixing the problem leaves qemu's SDL window pretty much
useless under X.

Only if you are using the evdev driver.

Is there some way of disabling it?
