Hi all,

Changes since 20100329:

This tree has a smattering of patches to cope with the slabh tree's
change to remove the include of slab.h from percpu.h. Hopefully these
patches, which are safe to apply now, will be taken up by subsystem
maintainers.

Dropped tree: tmio-mmc (long unresolved conflicts and unable to fetch)

My fixes tree contains:
a patch for a pktcdvd build error from Arnd Bergmann
a revert of the commit that broke virtual consoles on PowerPC

The pci tree lost its conflict.

The net tree lost its build failure and gained a conflict against the
wireless-current tree.

The slabh tree gained a conflict against the percpu tree and lost most of
its build failures (due to interactions with other trees) for which I
applied patches.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git
(patches at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/next/ ). If you
are tracking the linux-next tree using git, you should not use "git pull"
to do so as that will try to merge the new linux-next release with the
old one. You should use "git fetch" as mentioned in the FAQ on the wiki
(see below).

You can see which trees have been included by looking in the Next/Trees
file in the source. There are also quilt-import.log and merge.log files
in the Next directory. Between each merge, the tree was built with
a ppc64_defconfig for powerpc and an allmodconfig for x86_64. After the
final fixups (if any), it is also built with powerpc allnoconfig (32 and
64 bit), ppc44x_defconfig and allyesconfig (minus
CONFIG_PROFILE_ALL_BRANCHES - this fails its final link) and i386, sparc
and sparc64 defconfig. These builds also have
CONFIG_ENABLE_WARN_DEPRECATED, CONFIG_ENABLE_MUST_CHECK and
CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO disabled when necessary.

Below is a summary of the state of the merge.

We are up to 160 trees (counting Linus' and 22 trees of patches pending
for Linus' tree), more are welcome (even if they are currently empty).
Thanks to those who have contributed, and to those who haven't, please do.

Status of my local build tests will be at
http://kisskb.ellerman.id.au/linux-next . If maintainers want to give
advice about cross compilers/configs that work, we are always open to add
more builds.

Thanks to Jan Dittmer for adding the linux-next tree to his build tests
at http://l4x.org/k/ , the guys at http://test.kernel.org/ and Randy
Dunlap for doing many randconfig builds.

There is a wiki covering stuff to do with linux-next at
http://linux.f-seidel.de/linux-next/pmwiki/ . Thanks to Frank Seidel.

Handle case of GSPCA=m, INPUT=m when building gspca core;
also handle case of INPUT=n by using stubs.

Hi all,

Changes since 20110328:

New trees: xilinx and ptrace

Dropped tree: xen

Linus' tree lost its build failure but gained 2 others for which I
applied patches.

The xfs tree lost its conflict.

The edac-amd tree lost its conflict.

The powerpc allyesconfig build is still broken by some obscure bloating
of the low memory code.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git
(patches at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/next/ ). If you
are tracking the linux-next tree using git, you should not use "git pull"
to do so as that will try to merge the new linux-next release with the
old one. You should use "git fetch" as mentioned in the FAQ on the wiki
(see below).

You can see which trees have been included by looking in the Next/Trees
file in the source. There are also quilt-import.log and merge.log files
in the Next directory. Between each merge, the tree was built with
a ppc64_defconfig for powerpc and an allmodconfig for x86_64. After the
final fixups (if any), it is also built with powerpc allnoconfig (32 and
64 bit), ppc44x_defconfig and allyesconfig (minus
CONFIG_PROFILE_ALL_BRANCHES - this fails its final link) and i386, sparc
and sparc64 defconfig. These builds also have
CONFIG_ENABLE_WARN_DEPRECATED, CONFIG_ENABLE_MUST_CHECK and
CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO disabled when necessary.

Below is a summary of the state of the merge.

We are up to 185 trees (counting Linus' and 28 trees of patches pending
for Linus' tree), more are welcome (even if they are currently empty).
Thanks to those who have contributed, and to those who haven't, please do.

Status of my local build tests will be at
http://kisskb.ellerman.id.au/linux-next . If maintainers want to give
advice about cross compilers/configs that work, we are always open to add
more builds.

Thanks to Randy Dunlap for doing many randconfig builds.

There is a wiki covering stuff to do with linux-next at
http://linux.f-seidel.de/linux-next/pmwiki/ . Thanks to Frank Seidel.

For your information, I have created for-linus branch in the suspend tree.
Currently, it is identical to the linux-next branch, but in future the Linus'
tree will be periodically merged into the for-linus branch and the linux-next
branch will be rebased on top of it.

Thanks,
Rafael

Hi all,

Changes since 20090327:

Various conflicts have moved around due to some trees being merged into
Linus' tree.

Linus' tree gained a build failure for which I applied a patch.

The arm tree lost its three conflicts.

The tracing tree inherited a build failure from the net tree.

The genirq tree lost its conflict.

The sched tree lost its conflict.

The v4l-dvb tree lost its build failure.

The acpi tree gained a conflict against Linus' tree but lost its build
failure.

The ext4 tree lost its conflict.

The net tree lost all its conflicts.

The rr tree lost 8 conflicts.

The slab tree lost all its conflicts.

The drm tree lost its conflict.

The lblnet tree lost its conflicts.

The proc tree gained a build failure due to a new commit in Linus' tree -
I applied a patch.

The suspend tree lost its conflict.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sfr/linux-next.git
(patches at

Thanks to Jan Dittmer for adding the linux-next tree to his build tests
