Add 802.1q vlan support to IBoE. The vlan tag is encoded within the GID
derived from a link local address in the following way:
GID[11] GID[12] contain the vlan ID.
The 3 bit user priority field is identical to the 3 bits of the SL.
In case rdma_cm apps, the TOS field is used to generate the SL field by doing a
shift right of 5 bits effectively taking to 3 MS bits of the TOS field. In
order to support userspace verbs consumers, ib_uverbs_get_mac has changed into
ib_uverbs_get_eth_l2_addr and now returns both MAC and VLAN information.

My general comment on this would be the same I made for userspace:
Don't assume VID == 0 means no vlan tag. Use 0xFFFF or something that
is actually invalid.

I was looking for a way to distinguish between the case of none VLAN
and that of VLAN and saw places (in the bonding code) that treat 0 as
a none VLAN case. So now I will use the following function to get the
VLAN ID and code 0xffff as the none VLAN case.
+static inline u16 rdma_vlan_dev_vlan_id(const struct net_device *dev)
+{
+ return dev->priv_flags & IFF_802_1Q_VLAN ?
+ vlan_dev_vlan_id(dev) : 0xffff;
+}
+
0xffff will signify none VLAN but will be coded as 0xfffe in the GID
as is the case with IPv6 link local addresses.
I will send a v10 series with these changes.

I think I've lost the plot a bit here.
> The 3 bit user priority field is identical to the 3 bits of the SL.
I'm having a hard time figuring out what this sentence has to do with
this patch. I don't see anywhere in the patch where the sl field is
used except for copying the TOS into it, and I don't see what "user
priority field" might be referring to.
Also, how do VLANs work with multicast? As far as I can tell, there are
no spare bits in an IB MGID or IPv6 multicast address that can be stolen
to use for a VLAN ID. For example, how would I create an AH to use to
send to MGID ff02::1 on VLAN 25?

(per the RoCE spec) the 3 LSbs of the SL in the address vector carry
the value that is meant to be used in the 802.1Q priority field
(user_priority).

We take the VLAN from the SGID.

OK but as I said I don't see what that has to do with this patch.

With current API at least the consumer only specifies the SGID index.
How does the consumer get a GID with a given VLAN into the local GID table?

We thought it was appropriate to put this info here. Maybe we should
move it to PATCH0?

It's the HW driver that populates the GID table in response to net
device events.
