(suspend and resume of Linux not of any thread etc).
Please can you share some links, reference material or sample code
related to this functionality..

Documenataion is available in Documentation/power/ among other
places. And please ask questions about power management on
linux-pm@lists.linux-foundation.org. There's a bit better chance that
someone will get back to you this way.
