So the policy is now that curses is no longer mandatory, and we should
depend on host-ncurses when needed?

Maybe we could also add a depends on BR2_arm, because building
snowball-hdmiservice on Blackfin seems a bit odd :)

Great! So the only one left is gcc110, right?

Also, how many instances are you running on each machine?

Thanks for getting this done, it's nice to see we jumped from ~100
builds a few weeks ago to ~300 builds now. I expect the number of
builds per day to reduce a little bit as we fix issues (successful
builds are statistically longer than failed builds!), but still we
should be in the 250-300 builds/day range.

I think it's time for me to throw in a few more configurations in
there :-)

Wasn't that just what we agreed upon? We require it on the host for the
menuconfig target, but build host-ncurses for the packages that need it.

Yes, or simply deprecate the snowball packages. The board isn't
available any more and imho had quite a small community.

Yes. I also played with gcc14, but that one is so old that I need to
apply Thomas' rhel5 patches first.

currently I'm using:

ninstances = 3
njobs = 4

On all 3 machines, but I might tweak that a bit.

It wasn't entirely clear to me that we had reached an agreement. But
I'm ok with this decision, so fair enough. It however means that we
should *remove* libncurses-dev from the autobuilder chroots when
possible.

No problem. It was good to see Richard and Nathaniel join the
autobuilder effort, as they were able to test the script in other
conditions than the ones I tested.

The problem is explained here:

Upstream uClibc is fixed, but as fas as I know Buildroot's policy is to 
not accept more patches to uClibc.

The problem we are having with this is that certain parts of libarchive 
build statically although you are doing a dynamic build. We can avoid 
those parts to build statically using the patch I sent few days ago:

That's not true. We try to not add *feature* patches. Fixes are
perfectly fine, and we already have 50+ patches.
