You should thank Ulrich for that, he's responsible for the work that made this
possible (not to mention that his latest ape6evm patch series removes quite a
lot of code too).

That being said, mach-shmobile is slowly getting leaner and cleaner, it's nice
to see. Thank you to everybody who made this possible, the work might not be
sexy, but it's definitely appreciated.

From: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart+renesas@ideasonboard.com>

All r8a73a4 boards are now used with multiplatform kernels only. We can
remove all the unused r8a73a4 legacy device and clock registration code.

Forgot to include this in the ape6evm multiplatform series.

has been fixed in next but not in mainline. It is the latter that
renesas-devel is based on.

It seems that v3.20-rc1 should have the required mmc changes. Assuming the
above statement is correct could you repost this patch once rc1 has been
released?

As usual I plan to rebase the branches in renesas-devel on -rc1 once it has
been released. And to push the result into next. Due to travel and other
commitments this may not happen until a few days after -rc1 is released.

The mmc problems seem to be resolved in v4.0-rc1 and I have queued
this patch up as part of rebasing renesas-devel/next on top of that rc
release.

I can't find the patch in your next or devel branches. Am I looking at the
wrong tree ?

I saw it, too. But as renesas-devel-20150224-4.0-rc1 predates the email
from Simon, I assumed he just hasn't pushed out that version yet.

Thanks, it looks like I slipped up.

I'll get this queued up in the not to distant future.

BTW, does this tag work for anybody? I got the kernel hang with the blank
console after the kernel decompression on the SILK board. After I enabled
CONFIG_DEBUG_LL and early printk(), I saw that the PFC driver fails to load,
all drivers dependent on the PFC driver failing the probes, and then the early
console was disabled before I could see any crash report... I will provide the
kernel log a bit later if anybody is interested...

Sure, my tree is based on that, and works on r8a73a4/ape6evm,
r8a7740/armadillo, r8a7791/koelsch, and sh73a0/kzm9g.

FWIW I also tested the above tag on a range of boards.

Sorry about false alarm, it was all due to implementing Laurent's
suggestions in the PFC driver. :-) Looks like we both haven't properly tested
them... :-/
