I was reading through some of this code for other reasons and this
stood out and hurt my eyes. I don't have hardware to test on, but it

Get rid of obfuscating ocrdma_alloc_mqe() kzalloc() wrapper as all it
did was to make it less visible that the structure was already cleared
on allocation.
