I am working on it. It is mostly working in my tree, but is still
bleeding edge. There are two main area of work :

- getting proper adhoc support in ath9k (and ath5k)
- getting support for HT rates in ath9k (minstrel_ht and some work from
Sujith will help)

Regards,
Benoit

Excellent. I would be interested in pulling from your tree(s) as well as
some debugging - and maybe some help on writing code. I have done a lot
of kernel stuff before, however the wireless stack is a mystery to me.

I note that my ath9k seems to be working (albiet at 12Mbit), in adhoc -
already.

I have been obsessed with ad-hoc mode for ath9k for sometime too, but
have not had time to delve into it. As of now, you can put ath9k into
ad-hoc mode, but the throughput is the same as 802.11g. From what
Luis mentions in many emails, you need to go through the 802.11n spec
"IBSS-related specification in 7.3.2.57, 9.13.3.1, 10.3.2.2.2,
11.5.1.1, 11.9.7.2, 11.14.1, 11.14.2"; then submit a patch to linux
wireless for comments. And, the patch needs to general enough to work
for all wireless chipsets. Great to hear that Benoit has been making
some progress on 802.11n HT adhoc. I am going to check it out.
