Hi list,
I'm using the UBNT RS pro with ar9220 interface. Is there anyone to run it in 802.11n mode? or give me some hints, Thank you!

I tested Ubiquti SR71-12 in 802.11n mode with no problems. It's also
AR9220 based.

It's better that you describe the problem rather than look for somebody
who has exactly the same hardware and knows what you are talking about.

You're running ad-hoc mode, I have never seen that supports 11N HT speed,? though you can easily get 11n/HT under AP/STA scenario.

Thank you for your reply.
But I can't config it in AP mode.
root at OpenWrt:/# iw dev wlan0 set type ap
See http://wireless.kernel.org/RTFM-AP.

and how do I config it in AP mode? (RS pro and ar9220 chipset)

Use hostapd. You'll need to enable 802.11n in the hostapd configuration
file.

Thank you. I have do it successful. I can associate with the ap. but the speed is still low.

ap:
iwconfig:
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abgn Mode:Master Frequency:2.437 GHz Tx-Power=20 dBm
          RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off

mon.wlan0 IEEE 802.11abgn Mode:Monitor Frequency:2.437 GHz Tx-Power=20 dBm
          RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
hostapd.conf

And if I run ap and station in 11a mode with 5GHz, the speed is about 200~300kbps.

how do I find my problem?

Please read:
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Documentation/hostapd
People who have worked hard on documentation would appreciate
if its spread.

Actually, the former link redirect to the later. Unfortunately, that
page is titled "hostapd Linux documentation page", so that users are not
told explicitly that they should run hostapd. Instead, they are
directed to a page that they may consider irrelevant to the problem.

I would prefer if http://wireless.kernel.org/RTFM-AP was a short page
saying that hostapd must be used with mac80211 based drivers even if WPA
is not used.

Also, I would prefer that we phase out the "RTFM", as it may be
offensive to some users. It would be much nicer to say "please use
hostapd to set AP mode".

I think the RTFM is hard coded on iw :)
